Disability Benefits
Short-Term Disability insurance is a “paycheck” protection and pays a portion of your salary if you become temporarily disabled for a period of weeks from a non-work-related injury or sickness, then disability income benefits are provided as source of income. The purpose of this insurance is to provide you with a portion of your salary or wage that would protect you in the short-term.

Long-Term Disability insurance protects your ability to earn a paycheck. It pays a percentage of your salary if you become unable to work for a long period of time due to illness, sickness or accident. In the event you become disabled from a non-work-related injury or sickness, LTD gives you a portion of your salary or wage that would go beyond the duration of short-term disability.
You may not be eligible to receive disability benefits if you are receiving workers’ compensation benefits.
